Olive oil can tell us so much…

Olive oil can tell us so much…

El Poaig’s olive oil tells us the story of its Valencian territory, an astonishing region with sun, hot and cold winds, dry climate, hard rain and even stormy weather.
Its supreme quality and green aromatic notes tell us of 3000 year old olive trees that have lived through time to bear witness of long-distance values and flavours.

It also tells us the story of a family’s tradition and its return to origins. When Joaquin Solano decided to leave his career as an actor, he embraced his vocation and passion for the land. “When I decided to dedicate to my family's tradition - Joaquin maintains - I had a lot of work in theatre, cinema and television, but I thought I needed something that was attached to land. My work with millennial olive trees teaches me to relativize my work in theatre and at the same time offers me another point of view for my shows.”

It is in this spirit that El Poaig is proud to offer one of the most precious and quality oils in the world: the juice of the beloved Farga olive trees. The Farga olive is probably the oldest species of olive cultivated in the world, as it has succeeded in surviving the successive civilizations over the centuries and the variable weather conditions in the territory. The enormous dedication to land and the worship-like devotion to these millennial olive trees from the Solano family, is the reason why over the years, they have become thriving producers of selected products.

This philosophy has brought Joaquin Solano and El Poaig to be acknowledged as one of the most exclusive and expensive olive oils in the world. This pure extracted fruit juice combines quality, tradition, history and luxury presentation to create one of the most recognizable gourmet products on the planet.

The production is limited to just 3000 bottles per year, making this oil a rare culinary delicacy.

Packaged in a unique half-litre bottle, designed by Spanish designers CuldeSac™ and made from traditional Valencia ceramic, it is packed inside an artisanal wooden crate, creating the perfect luxury product and staying true to traditional methods. The bottle design is developed in a way that each drop of the liquid gold is saved, and protected from the light. With pure and sensual curves, a porcelain tongue serves as a pourer that displays the bright green colour of the oil, while preventing leaks and easing the return of the oil into the bottle, allowing every drop to be appreciated.

What more can we expect from olive oil?
