Antica Dolceria Bonajuto:
The oldest chocolate factory in Sicily.
In 1880, Francesco Bonajuto, following in his father's footsteps, opened a small cake shop in the baroque town of Modica. He sold exquisite cakes of Arabian and Spanish origin, and the shop is still a chocolate connoisseur's landmark.
Bonajuto's chocolate is rich in tradition - the brand highlights that its methods (including 'cold working') and ingredients (cinnamon and vanilla) are linked with the Aztecs,
who brought chocolate to the New World.
